 📓 Add a personal, creative touch to our School Supply Boxes by creating thoughtful cards to include with each box. Your messages of encouragement and support will help students feel seen, valued, and inspired as they head into the second half of the school year. Your creativity and care will bring both comfort and joy to someone facing the chill of winter.

💌 Each session will make 175 cards.

🛍️ Help make cards and assemble Activity Bags filled with fun, comforting items for children and families supported by There With Care. Your efforts will bring smiles, creativity, and comfort to kids facing medical challenges and make a meaningful difference in their day. ✨

Please note that this project may not last the entire 2 hour shift. There will be other opportunities to help if it is finished early.

There With Care: Our mission is to provide a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis. We serve families referred by medical agencies, by building a network of services and people who ease the burden of life’s day-to-day obligations with compassion and care.

Period poverty affects countless women and girls in our community—many are forced to choose between buying food or period supplies. Together, we can change that. By assembling these kits, you’ll help restore dignity, health, and confidence to women facing tough circumstances.

MotherWise supports women, children and their families during pregnancy and after a baby is born. Our workshops focus on communicating, solving family problems, and proven information on caring for and connecting with a newborn. You'll also receive one-on-one coaching to navigate work, life, family, and your new baby.

🐾 Show some love to our furry friends! Volunteers will create fun, colorful toys for dogs and cats in local animal rescues and shelters. Using simple materials, you’ll craft tug toys and cat wands that help keep animals active, happy, and comforted while they wait for their forever homes. A little creativity goes a long way in bringing joy, comfort, and companionship to pets in need.

Note: These projects could be difficult for younger children.  Not recommended for children under 10.

That’s why Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers medically tailored meals to people living with severe illnesses.

About Meals on Wheels:  At Nourish Meals on Wheels, we do more than provide meals for older (60+) or homebound adults. Our chef and his team prepare 650-725 nutritious, hot meals from scratch every day, and our dedicated volunteers deliver them directly to our clients' hands. Our volunteers are the familiar faces that help combat loneliness and isolation.

About Craig Hospital: Craig Hospital is a world-renowned rehabilitation hospital that exclusively specializes in neurorehabilitation and research for individuals with spinal cord injury and brain injury.

🧦 Volunteers will assemble Winter Essentials Bags with cozy, practical items to help our neighbors in need stay more comfortable in the cold months. We will decorate each bag with cheerful designs. Your creativity and care will bring both comfort and joy to someone facing the chill of winter.

The Delores Project partners with individuals experiencing barriers to housing to identify their path to stability. By providing shelter, housing, and supportive services, The Delores Project works alongside individuals as they overcome barriers and challenges. In addition, The Delores Project community collaborates with other community leaders to ensure those who have experienced barriers to housing are represented on issues of public policy and community development.

🎂 Join us in creating Birthday Bags filled with fun treats, toys, and party essentials for children served by the Denver Children’s Advocacy Center. Volunteers will decorate a cheerful “Happy Birthday” banner and include a personalized card with each bag, adding a warm, personal touch. Your efforts will bring joy, celebration, and a sense of normalcy to kids who are experiencing difficult times.

Denver Children’s Advocacy Center: Founded in 1995, DCAC is part of a national community of Child Advocacy Centers that are revolutionizing the response to child abuse. Our programs fall along a three-part continuum of care that includes community outreach, rapid response, and treatment and integrated services. We strive to meet the needs of all traumatized children, as well as those at risk of abuse.

Organize holiday gifts ahead of our holiday gift drive later in the year for the families at the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.  Help sort through and organize donated gifts then move them from our greenhouse to an indoor area and arrange by gift type. Volunteers may help with food packing as well.

Edwards Animals: Tender, Love, & Care with Animals
Animal care, feeding, brushing, walking horses, lamas, goats, and chickens. Stall and Driveway Leveling - move gravel.

Time:  8am-10am, volunteers can stay to 11 and spend time with animals, chat, have snacks.

Help us with Lunch Meal Service for Denver Rescue Mission!

🚜 Harvest Farm, a 100-acre farm located in Wellington, Colorado, provides the opportunity for up to 72 men to achieve self-sufficiency through the New Life Program. For many men coming out of homelessness and addiction, the Farm’s fresh air, rural environment, unique work therapy opportunities, and location away from the city’s temptations provide an ideal place to refocus and begin anew.

🚘 Parking and Check-in: As you pull into the property, proceed North down the main dirt road. It will curve left. Follow it around to the West side of the large red building. Park anywhere and enter the building on the West side near the picnic tables. Upon arrival, please be sure to sign in using the volunteer kiosk. If you are with a group, only one member needs to sign-in for the group. This is essential for us to highlight volunteer contribution and impact.

Age Requirements: This opportunity has a minimum age of 16 years old for safety reasons. Anyone ages 16-17 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older. Please do not bring family members or guests who are under 16.

👖 Dress Code: Please dress in a manner that is modest and appropriate for working. Please refrain from wearing opened toe shoes, tank-tops, midriff tops, short shorts, and any clothing that is: tight, low-cut, or has controversial imprints. If you are dressed inappropriately, you may be asked to reschedule.
 

A tip for kitchen volunteers: If you wear a hat (long hair must also be in a pony tail), you will not be required to wear a hairnet.

Denver Rescue Mission has been serving the most vulnerable in our community for more than 128 years. At multiple locations throughout our community, we help restore the lives of people experiencing homelessness and addiction through emergency services, rehabilitation, transitional programs, and community outreach.

Help check-in and distribute food to members of the community, volunteers may be asked to help with set-up and take-down. Expect to be on your feet for the duration of the shift as well as some lifting, bending, etc.

All group participants must be signed up 2 weeks prior to the volunteer shift (By October 23, 2025).

Any spot not filled prior to that deadline will be released back out to the public and will no longer be guaranteed for your group. Members can still register if there are open spots on the website, but it will be open to the public as well and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Your group coordinator will receive a reminder email prior to that cut off.

As a part of the event registration each person accepts the volunteer agreement and waiver.
Once you have created an account and registered for the event, you will receive an automatic confirmation email.
 
Food Bank of the Rockies requires every member of the group to register individually under the specific group and event. This registration process allows each volunteer to accept our waiver ahead of volunteering and will allow them to track their volunteer hours with Food Bank of the Rockies.

Join the Canal Conservation Corps for a community trash cleanup! 🗑️

We will start the workday here at 8:30am (volunteers can park here), and move our way north along the trail picking up brush.

The trail here is a gravel/dirt path with lots of shade in the Canal. We will be going into the channel and pulling out large pieces of brush to help with fire mitigation and reduce damming.

• Volunteers should wear long sleeves and long pants. Please wear layers and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
• All necessary supplies, including gloves, water refills, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, brush bags, loppers, and more will be provided.

All volunteers must sign the online volunteering waiver once annually.

Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian signature and children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The mission of the Conservancy is to preserve, protect and enhance the 71-mile High Line Canal, in partnership with the public.The Conservancy is committed to preserving and enhancing the Canal with projects and programs that improve quality of life and the environment and provide measurable benefits for all people.

🥗 Deliver meals to homebound seniors! Pick up groceries from 10:00am to 10:30am at 92 E Arapahoe Rd, Littleton, CO 80122 and deliver to the route provided.  Delivery typically will take 90 minutes. 

Nourish Meals on Wheels help drive away hunger in Denver's South-Metro neighborhoods by delivering meals to homebound adults and seniors.

POT will join A Little Help's big event of the year – Service Saturday – in Denver on 11/8 from 9am – noon/2pm. 

🍁 Service Saturday is a ½ day (morning) family-friendly fall yardwork work event for volunteers to support our older adult members throughout the metro area. Groups and individuals are welcome to participate. It is A Little Help’s signature event.

Spend some time talking with the older adult household members while you are visiting their home and maybe break some of the isolation they might be experiencing.

11:30AM - 2:00PM Volunteer Check-Out, Tool Return & After Work Celebration (Junction Food & Drink and Edgewater Public Market)
