Warm Your π§‘ Bean Soup Project

Join us for one of our most beloved volunteer activities - creating hearty bean soup kits for our neighbors in need! Together, we'll transform 600 pounds of beans into 4,800 nourishing meals for local food pantries.
Registration will open April 26th at noon!

Lead Art Projects with Students π¨

This opportunity is with Community Resource Inc., an educational non-profit that supports students and their families. Join us on Friday, May 2, for a joyful morning of creativity and cultural celebration at Marrama Elementary School.
We’re looking for volunteers to help lead simple, pre-prepared multicultural art projects with students from 8:30–11:00 a.m. No teaching or art experience is needed—just a positive attitude and a passion for engaging with kids!
All materials and easy-to-follow instructions will be provided ahead of time via email, along with printed guides on the day of the event.
We hope to recruit up to 20 volunteers to help make this special day a success.

Volunteer with CU Buffs + PROJECT OUR TOWN! π
Join us and the CU Buffs for an exciting volunteer opportunity at Coach Prime’s Football Camps! We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers (21+) to assist both on and off the field.
Help with drills, instruction, hydration stations, lunch service, event setup, and more. It’s a fun way to support young athletes, meet new people, and get involved with an energetic community event! Various dates are available — check out the full schedule and sign up today. Let’s team up to make this camp a success!

Spring Cards for Seniors! π·
AT-HOME OPPORTUNITY!
We are making cards to help the Nourish Meals on Wheels Clients celebrate the beginning of Spring!
Cards:
* No bigger than 8.5 x 11 but can be as small as an index card. Bookmarks are also fun!
* You can use stickers, googly eyes, glued decorations, etc.
* Be as creative as you would like but they do not have to be works of art! It is definitely the thought that counts =]
* Please do NOT put cards in envelopes
Drop off completed cards at The Hive (1460 S. Colorado Blvd) Drop off by the end of month or during 4/19 or 5/3 Bean Soup Event. Or email us to set up a weekday time!
Nourish Meals on Wheels delivers nutritious, hot meals from scratch every day to seniors in the South Metro Area.

Decorate Delivery Bags for There With Care or Project Angel Heart!List Item 1
At-Home Opportunity
Help bring some cheer to client families receiving much needed items!
HOW:
1. Email us at info@projectourtown.org to set up a time to pick up bags at our location (1460 S. Colorado Blvd. Denver, 80222).
2. Decorate bags at home (instructions provided)
3. Set up a time to drop bags back off and we will make sure they get back to There With Care and/or Project Angel Heart!!
There With Care provides a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis. They serve families referred by medical agencies, by building a network of services and people who ease the burden of life’s day-to-day obligations with compassion and care.
Project Angel Heart prepares and home-delivers—at no charge—medically tailored meals to 5,000 Coloradans who are living with cancer, kidney disease, HIV/AIDS, and other severe illnesses.

Warm Your ♥οΈ Bean Soup Project... At Home!
This project is always a volunteer favorite! It is fun, active, engaging and, most importantly, it puts food on the table for people who really need it - people who do not always know when their next meal will be.
We have take-home kits that make it really conveneint to do the project with your family and friends, colleagues or by yourself!
It is an impactful way to help the people in our community who are struggling with food insecurity.

Knitters Needed! π§Ά
There is always a need for hats, scarves, and blankets. If you love knitting and want to share the fruits of your labor with those in need, we would love to help.
Email us below to set up a drop off or if you have any questions.
We've had a few people express interested in a crochet class.
If you are interested in a crochet or knitting class, let us know!
If there are enough people, we'll see if we can make it happen! Keep in mind that you would be making items to be donated, not working on personal projects.
